Acceptance of Terms
By using Timesheeter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Service Description
Timesheeter is a web-based time tracking application that helps you record timesheets and report them to invoicing tools. The service offers both free and paid plans. Core time tracking features are available on the free plan, while paid plans unlock cloud sync, integrations with third-party services (such as Odoo and Teamwork), and multi-device access. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Account Requirements
To use Timesheeter, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
Plans and Pricing
Timesheeter offers the following plans:
- Free Plan: Core time tracking features with local data storage. Data is stored in your browser and does not sync to our servers.
- Paid Plans: Lifetime plans (Solo, Team) that unlock cloud sync, integrations with Odoo and Teamwork, and multi-device access. Pricing and features are subject to change, but lifetime plans purchased at the time of signup are honored for the lifetime of the service.
We reserve the right to modify pricing for new plans or subscriptions. Changes will not affect existing lifetime plan holders. All payments are processed through Stripe, and you agree to Stripe's terms of service when making a payment.
Data Storage and Cloud Sync
Timesheeter offers two data storage modes:
- Local Mode (Free Plan): Your timesheet data, projects, and settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data does not sync to our servers and remains on your device.
- Cloud Sync Mode (Paid Plans): When you enable cloud sync, your data is stored both locally and on our secure cloud infrastructure, allowing access across multiple devices. Cloud sync is optional and can be disabled at any time.
Account information (email, name, organization name) is always stored on our servers for authentication purposes, regardless of your plan or sync settings.
Third-Party Integrations
Paid plans include integrations with third-party services such as Odoo and Teamwork. When you use these integrations, you authorize Timesheeter to send your timesheet data to these services at your request. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining valid credentials for third-party services
- Ensuring you have permission to submit data to these services
- Complying with the terms of service of any third-party service you integrate with
We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or data handling practices of third-party services. Your use of integrations is at your own risk.
Organizations and Team Features
Timesheeter allows you to create organizations and invite team members. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for managing team members, roles, and permissions. You are responsible for ensuring that team members you invite have appropriate access and that you comply with applicable data protection laws when sharing data within your organization.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Backing up your timesheet data regularly, especially if using local mode
- Ensuring your browser supports localStorage and modern web standards
- Using the service in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintaining the security of your account and not sharing your credentials
- Ensuring you have proper authorization to submit timesheet data to third-party services
- Complying with your organization's policies if using Timesheeter in a work context
Data Loss and Service Availability
Local Mode: If you use the free plan with local storage only, your data is stored entirely in your browser. We are not responsible for data loss due to browser clearing, device failure, browser updates, or other circumstances beyond our control. It is your responsibility to regularly back up your data or report it to your invoicing system.
Cloud Sync: While we take reasonable measures to protect cloud-stored data, we cannot guarantee absolute data security or availability. We are not liable for data loss due to service interruptions, security breaches, or technical failures. We recommend maintaining local backups even when using cloud sync.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes or service discontinuation.
Refunds and Cancellations
Lifetime plans are one-time payments that provide lifetime access to premium features. Lifetime plans are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion. If you request an invoice for a paid plan, standard payment terms apply as specified in the invoice.
You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your account information will be retained for authentication purposes, but you can request deletion of your cloud-stored data. Local data stored in your browser will remain until you clear it manually.
Intellectual Property
Timesheeter and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and may be protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your timesheet data and content. By using the service, you grant us a license to store, process, and sync your data as necessary to provide the service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Timesheeter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to data loss, lost profits, or business interruption.
Our total liability for any claims arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
